The Stay Hue Myeongdong

I usually don’t feel comfortable using the blankets, even in nice hotels, but here I slept under one for all four nights. The room was so clean, and quiet too, which I especially appreciated traveling with my kids. It wasn’t large, but the staff were kind and helpful, and we had a great Seoul trip. The location and service were both excellent. Laundry service is available, and if you tell the front desk ahead of time, they can arrange a 24-hour taxi or limousine to Incheon Airport for an extra fee. I found the price reasonable and the service convenient. I almost wish fewer people knew about this place, but it was so good that I had to leave a review.

We’d stay again for the location alone. You’re right in the heart of Myeongdong, with the lively streets starting the moment you step outside, and our room had a lovely nighttime view of N. Seoul Tower. The room was about 200ish sq feet, with a double bed and two bunk beds for our family of four, so there wasn’t much space for luggage or anything else. The bathroom was small too. The exit sign was bright enough that we covered it with socks to sleep. During our five nights, we heard loud music at midnight on three nights, maybe from upstairs or downstairs. We also hoped to mail a few postcards, but our visit fell during the Chuseok holiday, when the post offices were closed. The staff couldn’t help send them, and we couldn’t even buy stamps. We needed housekeeping on two days, but they only gave us fresh towels. The beds weren’t made, no amenities were replenished, and the old towels stayed in the room. With so little space, they piled up in a corner. A few hooks to hang towels would help.

The rooms are okay for the price, though there were no chairs, tables, or luggage storage space. Still, the location and service were good enough that I’d recommend it. It was very clean, had amenities like a microwave and a common area, and let us leave our luggage when we arrived early.

We felt really welcome here, and it worked well for our family, traveling with my 70 year old mom and 8 year old daughter. The front desk hospitality was unmatched. Rooms are a little tight, but we managed fine with four pieces of luggage. Ours had huge windows and a great view of Myeongdong. Everything felt modern and super clean, with useful in-room amenities like water machines, a fridge, a microwave, and fancy toiletries. You can’t beat the location. Thank you!
