It’s not a five-star place, but for the price it’s perfect. You pay about what a hostel bunk costs and get a private room with an ensuite bathroom in one of Seoul’s most central areas. The rooms are clean, the AC works well, and the beds are very firm. There’s a refrigerator on the second floor and a microwave in the lobby, which was good to have even though I barely used them. The staff couldn’t be nicer. Everyone was able to answer questions and help, and I appreciated assistance with my bags since there are no elevators. The neighborhood is an old-school, slightly industrial part of the city with lots of character, and it feels exceptionally safe any time of day or night. You’re steps from Gwangjang Market and right by a subway stop serving lines 2 and 5. Line 1 is an easy walk too. There’s a convenience store and coffee shops nearby, plus a Michelin Bib Gourmand spot around the corner known for cold noodles. It was an exceptional hostel stay, and I can’t wait to return.

The common areas are basic but functional, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I stayed at Travelers A Korea Hostel in Seoul for nine nights, in a clean, quiet single room with a private bathroom. Nearby affordable restaurants and cafés made the location very convenient. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, but at this price that wasn’t a big deal. It’s great value, and I’d consider staying again.

There’s a CU convenience store nearby, several affordable local restaurants, and a coffee shop within walking distance. Uber pick-ups and drop-offs are easy. The hostel is conveniently located, about a 15-20 minute walk from Myeongdong and DDP, and close to Euljiro-4-ga subway station.

The area is mostly a hardware market and isn’t the nicest, but a food market is nearby and the metro is within walking distance. The hostel has free water dispensers. My twin room was a bit small, but it was clean and quiet, with a private bathroom. The laundry service was especially good, very fast and cheap.

Carrying luggage up and down is a challenge if your room is on the second or third floor, since there’s no elevator service there.
