Travelodge Myeongdong Namsan

The staff were decent, spoke English, and there’s a free scale in the lobby for weighing suitcases before a flight. There’s also a mart next door, which was handy for picking up snacks after sightseeing. Still, for what the hotel offers, it felt quite pricey. We stayed in a much better hotel in Busan for less. The nearest metro is about a 10-minute walk, so I wouldn’t call the location especially close to public transport. Our room was very cramped for two people and two large suitcases, with barely any space to walk. The bathroom was tiny, and the bidet worked only intermittently. Cleaning and linen changes happen only on certain days and only if you request them. They said this was for environmental reasons, but I’m not sure that outweighs hygiene. When we arrived, the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or cleared out. There was an empty water bottle in the bathroom sink, as shown in the first photo.

My friend and I stayed here in winter and were welcomed by warm service and a warm entrance. The rooms were clean, and the staff were easygoing. It’s close to Myeongdong station and the shopping streets, plus there’s a 24-hour convenience store nearby for late-night snacks. I was very happy with the stay and would come back!

I’ve stayed at Travelodge Myeongdong Namsan twice and would gladly return. It feels safe, is clean, and has 24-hour reception in case anything comes up. The location is great, very close to Myeongdong main street, with lots of convenience shops, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby. The rooms and bathrooms were in really good condition and well maintained. Towels and bedding were fresh and clean; they’re changed depending on the dates, but you can ask for an earlier change if needed. The rooms have everything you may need. Staff and receptionists were friendly and helpful, and always tried their best to answer questions. I’d recommend this place for a Seoul trip and hope to be back soon.

I stayed here in December when it was cold, and the heating worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, the location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and always smiling. For value, I’d give it 1000/10. I’d definitely stay again, thanks so much. I booked through the hotel website and found it a better choice, in case anyone’s looking.
