The one thing I liked was being able to head out and explore Hongdae and the rest of Seoul. Otherwise, I'd save the money for another hotel or guesthouse. Even a standard twin room leaves hardly any space to move, and the rooms look even smaller in person than in the already-small photos. The bathroom is cramped too. Spare amenities left on the stairs are a hazard. The beds were uncomfortable, with rock-hard mattresses, and we found stains after turning over the blankets. Laundry was a pain and took much longer than at other guesthouses I've stayed in. The fourth-floor washing machine was broken, as was the third-floor dryer, which wouldn't spin. The working dryer still left our clothes damp. I wouldn't book this place, even as a budget guesthouse. There are plenty of other cheap places in the area that offer more. It feels like comfort was sacrificed to fit as many people as possible into tight spaces.

We had a private shower and toilet, and the heater and air conditioner both worked well. There's a lift, plus a washer and dryer on the staircase landings. Staff were helpful and quick to reply, and check-in was easy. It's about a 5-6 minute walk to the nearby shopping district. Great budget-friendly place, especially for a family of five.

The room was clean and the Wi-Fi worked well, but it was quite small, with no wardrobe, rack or hangers. Apart from the bed, there was only a fridge, kettle and TV. Bring your own toiletries: they provide body cleanser, shampoo and bath towels. The shared dining area on the ground floor is cozy, though it gets a bit disorganized with so many guests using it. Bring wet tissues to wipe the tables and chairs, since there isn't a cleaning cloth. The utensils and crockery looked clean, but I'd rinse them before using them. You can get snacks, instant noodles or porridge at a nearby convenience store.

Third stay here and it's still my favorite place. Close to Hongik exit 3.

The owner and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. I loved the shared kitchen too, it was really nice and Instagram-able. Our room was clean and roomy enough for four people. The spot in Hongdae is quiet, but you can still walk a bit farther for a wilder night out. I'll definitely stay here again. Best cozy place I've tried in South Korea!
