UH Suite The Coex

Our room was spotless, modern, spacious, and beautifully designed, so it was easy to relax. The stay at UH Suite Coex was wonderful from beginning to end, and Taylor, the manager, welcomed us warmly and looked after us so attentively. After our long journey, he arranged an early check-in and personally helped carry our luggage to the room. He also offered us an early hair massage treatment free of charge. It was a unique, memorable experience, and discovering that special service in Korea made the trip feel even more extraordinary. Taylor booked a taxi for our early morning flight, making our departure smooth and stress-free. He even paid for snacks for our kids out of his own pocket for the trip to the airport. That generous gesture touched us and was a lovely end to an already amazing stay. Everything felt perfect. We’d highly recommend UH Suite Coex to anyone visiting Seoul. Thank you again, Taylor. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was a nice place to stay. There weren’t many amenities, though. You get one free loose leaf tea, but have to pay for any extra tea each day. The bathtub looked beautiful, but you can only use the bathbomb the hotel provides, and that costs extra too. There’s one elevator for all floors, so getting around can take a while. It’s especially slow during cleaning, when housekeeping holds the elevator on the floor they’re working on until they’re finished. Since the hotel sits between buildings, there isn’t much to see from the windows.

The price made the problems harder to overlook. We paid about HK$3,200 a night for six days and five nights as a family of four, spending four days and three nights in a larger room over New Year’s Eve, then three days and two nights in a smaller one. The larger room could fit six people, and we appreciated the free laundry as long as it stayed within reasonable limits. But the stay was disappointing. Staff were absolutely unhelpful, and one sock sent to the laundry went missing until the last day. Shower water took about 10 minutes to become warm or hot in both rooms, and the temperature kept changing. The four-person room had no floor heater and the main heater couldn’t be adjusted. There was sand-like debris and floating dirt in the spa tub, and shower water leaked significantly into the corridor.

Gangnam was the best part for us. There are restaurants, shops, a big mall and bars all around, and the staff were really nice and helpful, even assisting us with event bookings. The hot tub was clean, and after staff fixed the temperature, the water stayed hot enough. I found the place on TikTok and, for what we paid, it wasn’t bad, though I’d choose somewhere else next time. We stayed five nights. The shower temperature kept fluctuating and took about 10 minutes to get warm or hot, and water leaked into the corridor while we showered. The bed was nice, but the cheap pillows had no support. There weren’t many amenities: no coffee or tea, just one free tea sample before you have to pay, no breakfast, and only a whiskey bar for food on site. There’s one elevator for the whole building, and the maid often held it up on B1, so waits could be long. The neighboring room was extremely loud late at night despite the stated quiet hours, and nobody did anything about it.
