I really liked staying here. It’s comfortable, the host is kind, and in general it’s a great guest house. But there are two bathroom styles, with swing doors or sliding doors, and I’d avoid the sliding-door one. Its heavy door came off the railing and badly hurt my foot. I ended up with two broken toes and stitches. There’s no safety border, so it’s hazardous. I was also surprised not to get an apology or much follow-up afterward, and I had to make my own way to the airport. I’m not upset, but I didn’t expect that. I hope they fix the door soon. Until then, stick to the swing-door bathrooms.

We were unsure about trying a shared guesthouse for the first time, but the price was great and the positive reviews persuaded us. Seoul accommodation is expensive, and we were really impressed with this place. The room was basic, but fine for what we paid. The walls were very thin, yet everyone was respectful and we never heard our neighbors. Shared toilets were spotless and plentiful, so there was no waiting, and the kitchen was spotless and well equipped too. If you’re trying to save money and considering it, honestly, don’t hesitate. It’s perfect.

I came to Korea alone for the first time and felt very safe here. The house was quiet, with a bathroom on each floor, and I had access to a full kitchen and fridge. The location was perfect, near several subway lines. The owners were kind, spoke English, and were happy to answer my transportation questions. Very nice and accommodating.

Be careful booking here, especially as a couple. I reserved a double room for two adults through Agoda, and my confirmation clearly showed both guests. The booking was non-refundable. When I tried to add my wife's name in the Agoda app, there was no option, so I contacted the guesthouse through Agoda instead. They said two people could stay, but wanted an extra W20,000 KRW per night for the second person. That fee hadn’t been disclosed and was unexpected for a double room booked for two. I contacted Agoda support and sent the confirmation showing two adults. Agoda tried to mediate, but the guesthouse kept insisting on the additional W20,000 KRW each night. Luckily, Agoda eventually canceled the non-refundable booking without a charge and refunded me via AgodaCash, so I could find somewhere else. If you plan to stay here, particularly as a couple, be aware that you could face substantial undisclosed charges. That money would probably be better spent on nicer accommodation elsewhere.

Just off Insadong Street, which is a great location. The rooms are small but comfortable, and there are laundry machines on the roof. Be ready for stairs.
