The location was pretty good, and there was paid parking along with enough street space beside the property to unload. For the price, the room and amenities were acceptable for our one-night stay. The lobby had a free washer and dryer, a plug adapter, a coffee machine with no beans, and a purified-water dispenser. My impression of the host was poor before we arrived. I asked a basic question in Korean and English and got a blunt “no” or “none” in English. At check-in, the host was just as hostile and unhelpful. I can't imagine getting help if something went wrong. I wouldn't choose to stay longer than a night or two.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, though the building and room showed some wear. We were in a great spot for walking to temples, palaces, attractions, and lots of restaurants. A few things felt odd: the fourth-floor corridor had artificial grass, and the bathroom shower head was beside the door, so showering left the floor wet. The towels were only small ones, but we managed. The mini fridge was loud enough to bother me. I slept through the night, while my husband woke at dawn and heard moaning from couples and other sounds in nearby rooms.

The owner was helpful and accommodating while we stayed for about ten days, around two years ago. Finding the place took us a few tries. The rooms felt a little dated, but the heated floors were lovely. The bathroom had no heating, which made winter showers a challenge. There was free mineral water in the hallway on every floor.

The hostel has been totally redone by the owners. It’s gorgeous now, calm and cozy, and works well for families. The owners and staff are really helpful ♡
