Youngbin Hotel

A good-value, straightforward hotel for our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the bathroom had plenty of space and was clean too. The air conditioning ran quietly and worked well without disturbing our sleep.

Youngbin hotel was in a handy spot for getting around Seoul, with public transport and local attractions easy to reach. My room was spotless and well looked after, with the amenities I needed and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was limited, but the quality was decent. The bathrooms were good, the rooms spacious, and the wifi excellent. The beds were hard, though, and noise carried easily through the rooms. I'd bring earplugs. If anyone comes or goes at night, especially with bags, you'll wake up.

We stayed for six nights, and the room was large with really good wifi, but the hotel felt worn down and I can't recommend it if you don't speak Korean or Chinese. They say there are English-speaking staff, but the most they could manage was hello. We chose it for the location and sauna, but couldn't use the sauna because nobody could explain it in English. It's between a hairdresser and a massage place, which felt a bit odd, and when we asked where to change, they just said, “no English, Chinese.” Our room was on the fifth floor, and noise woke us at least six times a night. There was no do-not-disturb sign, so while we were trying to get over jet lag, cleaners came to our room three times the same afternoon and woke us each time. There really weren't any English-speaking staff working there.
