I got a discounted rate of just 60,000 won, surprisingly low for the Lunar New Year holiday. Check-in was quick, and the ocean view was lovely. The room wasn't too spacious, but the size felt reasonable, and getting to Daepo Port was fairly easy. It's an older hotel, though. There was a notice asking guests to conserve hot water, and the beds weren't very comfortable. I mistook it for the Benikea Hotel "Sangwabada Sokcho" next door when I made the reservation. There aren't outlets by the beds, and at night people on the street can see into the room.

The room reeked of cigarettes, and the bathroom had a night-flower smell that I couldn't figure out the source of. It brought to mind the 80s hostels I used to see on TV. If you're considering this for the ocean view, I'd advise against it. It's the worst place I've stayed, and I'm glad I didn't bring my family.

The room's air conditioning wasn't very effective, and the EV charger didn't work. The reception staff were curt. It's also far enough from the sea that getting around on foot is difficult.
