Kumho Sulak Resort

The only thing I liked was the convenience store. The building feels old and dirty, the shower barely has any pressure, and breakfast costs twice as much as a normal lunch. Parking is a long way from the hotel, which is especially unpleasant in the rain. It feels like you’re charged for everything.

I had booked and paid for Kumho Seorak Resort through Expedia, but my mother was hospitalized in the emergency room, so I couldn’t stay there. The hotel asked me to provide proof of her hospitalization. Once I sent the documents, they refunded me. I appreciate how kindly the reservation staff at Kumho Seorak Resort handled it.

The location is top tier, close to the national mountain park and beautiful beaches. It’s clean and neat, with game rooms for kids and parents and a big convenience store.

Having a kitchenette in the resort room made it easy to bring food or pick something up at the hotel convenience store. The views are lovely, and there’s an okay sauna and bathhouse, though not much else to do in the hotel. There’s nothing within walking distance either. The hall carpets were in rough shape, but that didn’t affect our stay. We were woken a couple of times by late night partygoers or children running around, but still enjoyed the visit.
