Mr. Slow

It was below freezing outside, but the room was cold when we arrived. He said he turns the heat on every two hours, which was totally unacceptable to us. Breakfast was included when I booked, but at check-in he said there was no breakfast, only coffee.

Really great!!!!

The oceanfront setting and the view were lovely, and having a coffee shop downstairs was handy. The room was clean, though the bathroom let it down a little. Sound carried everywhere: firecrackers, car horns, people chatting late at night, even conversations next door and toilet flushing. The poor soundproofing was disappointing.

The booking turned out to be a duplicate, and after a long wait the owner told me to leave. When I arrived, he was lying on a sunbed inside the coffee shop and didn't even welcome the customers coming in. I had to ask what was happening, and he said he'd check. The app then listed the cancellation as being at the customer's request. It was ridiculous. Seeing how many rooms are packed into this small building was surprising, too. At the weekend price, Sokcho has plenty of hotels with good views. Unless you specifically want Sokcho Pocha Street, staying somewhere else would be much more enjoyable.
