Sokcho Ocean Beach

The campsite across from our lower-floor room made it uncomfortable to leave the door open. The smell of charcoal and other odors kept coming in, and I would've been happier in a different room. There were also a few hairs in the room. The spot itself is great, right on the beach with lots of restaurants nearby, and parking goes down to the third basement level. For longer stays, towels and bottled water are left hanging on the door. Cooking isn't allowed. Building A has self-service kiosks for check-in and checkout.

The service was friendly and excellent, and I had a great rest. My room was clean, and you only need to bring a toothbrush. It's right by the beach, with a Ferris wheel nearby, and supermarkets, restaurants, and coffee shops are easy to reach.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was clean and pretty spacious. Being right by the sea made it easy to head out. There are bakeries and restaurants within walking distance, along with plenty to do nearby.

From our clean, comfortable room on the 7th floor, we had a breathtaking ocean view over the forest, with the lighthouse in sight. There was a washing machine in the room, which came in handy for our wet beach clothes, and parking in the building was free after entering our license plate at check-in. A large public lot next door is another option. Sokcho Beach and Sokcho I-Bay are close, and there are lots of places to eat, so it works well for families and is convenient in many ways. The price was reasonable too. Check-in, though, was a hassle: it required a self-service kiosk, and special service requests needed separate contact details. Several accommodations operate in the Resen Ocean Park building, so it's easy to get confused. Check the accommodation name before using the kiosk. The building was still being sold, with sales offices and promotional materials scattered around.
