Spa Pension Basso

The owners were helpful and kind, and made us feel welcome as foreigners. We had a great time!

I’ve visited several times, and this was my second visit. The owners were just as kind as ever, and I was touched by their warmth. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and they even set out charcoal and a grill plate for cooking meat. They also gave us roasted sweet potatoes as a complimentary treat. I had a relaxing stay and came away feeling refreshed. Wishing the owners continued success with the business.

The owner was kind, and the place was clean. I liked the spa too. But the facilities are old, and the central heating was frustrating. It was raining and getting colder, and with kids I wanted to turn the heat up a little. I couldn't control it myself.

The service was good, and there was no musty smell in the bedroom. The garden wasn't much to look at when I visited in mid-February. Heating felt a little weak, and while there was hot water, it swung between scalding and too cold without a comfortable middle setting. The spa felt a bit too private for comfort because the back door wouldn't lock. It's some distance from downtown, with rice fields nearby rather than an ocean view. The central market is about a 40-minute drive away.
