The room was comfortable and clean, but I found the 5 PM check-in frustrating when I was already tired. I may choose a hotel with a standard 3 PM check-in next time. They did let me check in at 4:30 AM, though. Since I leave early anyway, I don't understand the 5 AM check-in policy.

This place is a remodeled old motel. Parking and check-in were inconvenient, and the staff didn't seem to communicate well, so I had to explain things separately. Amenities cost extra. The mattress was so hard I couldn't sleep.

The location worked well for reaching the passenger terminal and nearby attractions, and the owner was kind and helpful. The room was cramped, though, and the bed was uncomfortable. There were stains and dirty spots around, and the bedding wasn't comfortable either. Cleanliness was only so-so. For the price, I gave up an ocean view and ended up looking at a building. The self-serve breakfast was a nice quick meal: ramen, salad, cereal, coffee, and fries. Still, I liked Geoje Hound better than Tongyeong Hound. Gwangalli Hound seems like it may have a similar concept. I'd have liked more cleanliness and comfort, and I don't think I'll stay here on my next Tongyeong visit. If I arrived really late, maybe I'd just take it easy and lower my expectations. What's the point otherwise?
