Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City by IHG

We loved the all-you-can-eat seafood idea and enjoyed the experience overall. The buffet food made us happy, though the main dishes were a bit disappointing. Drinks weren’t included with the meals.

Anil S from housekeeping has kept my room needs up to a really high standard. He’s been doing a superb job with his duties and checking that everything is taken care of. Thank you so much!

I’ve stayed here about three weeks so far between OCT-DEC 2026. The first time, I had an exceptional inside room overlooking the internal courtyard, mostly quiet. This time I’m in an exterior room and can hear road and traffic noise, so ask for an inside room if that bothers you. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is great, and the mini-fridge can be stocked with different drinks. The pool was very nice, though the hot tub wasn’t very hot when I used it. The breakfast buffet is incredible, and the gym may be the nicest I’ve used anywhere in the world. There are 5 restaurants on site. I tried 4 of them, plus room service, and everything was great. I wish the in-room TVs let you stream YouTube, Netflix, or another service, but they don’t. My internet was much better on this visit: 18mbps down, compared with just 5mpbs down the first time. It’s still low, but better. The staff are extremely friendly, and everyone speaks English, which is helpful. The hotel security seems legit, including an x-ray for luggage coming into the hotel.

At Shabestan Restaurant, the warm atmosphere and the friendly, attentive, professional staff made the meal especially enjoyable. I loved their signature shabestan royal platter and kebab kubedhi, both rich in flavor and beautifully presented. It was a great dining experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone after quality food and excellent service. One of the best Iranian (Persian) restaurants.
