Al Salam Hotel

I couldn’t get anyone at reception to answer after calling several times, and the bathroom had problems too. The toilet area was so narrow I had to sit at an angle, and the clothes rod fell when I tried to hang something. The hotel is good in general, just not excellent. I hope management improves these things for future guests.

The room arrangements Aisha at reception and I had agreed on before I arrived were not followed. At check-in, I was given a completely different room. I was also disappointed by the receptionist’s rigid and dismissive manner. She didn’t offer help or basic courtesy, which felt unwelcoming and far short of the customer care a professional hotel should provide. I expected respect, transparency, and for the agreed arrangements to be honored. Instead, the situation caused significant inconvenience and left me with a very poor impression of the service. I ask that the hotel review what happened internally, take steps to prevent a repeat, and send me a formal response.

Everyone seemed to put care into looking after guests, from the receptionists and housekeepers to management and restaurant staff. The people were friendly, the service excellent, and the food nice. I enjoyed every day of my stay at Al Salam Hotel. Thanks for the hospitality, I hope to come back!

I bought coffee from Caribou, which is in the hotel lobby, then was told to leave because apparently the hotel owner doesn’t let customers sit there unless they’re hotel guests. I was using a hotel couch after buying my drink because the café seating had no power sockets and its AC wasn’t working. I’m a paying customer, so being kicked out for sitting somewhere comfortable was ridiculous. The staff were rude and dismissive, with no basic hospitality. Caribou should be ashamed to operate in such an unwelcoming place. It’s a joke. I won’t return, and I’d warn others to stay away.
