Saray Hotel Apartments

The flat suits a small family, with two bedrooms and a hall, though the hall takes up more than half the space. Only one bedroom has its own bathroom. I wish the bedrooms were larger and the hall smaller. Construction next door starts at 5.30 am, and the noise comes through very clearly, which was annoying. The location is perfect, the staff are cooperative, and the place is clean.

The mattresses were fantastic, the kitchens and toilets were spotless until sewage started flooding. Our toilet was literally flooded, and a worker blamed us for no apparent reason. Some employees were very hostile and angry without any apparent cause. Cleaning was poor, and nobody came unless we called reception. The cleaning staff were rude and seemed bored, and didn’t want to do the job or wash the toilets. There are not enough parking spaces for a hotel the size of Saray, and arriving late can be a problem because the parking is usually full. The elevator is a bit shabby: it makes noise before stopping, and once gave an alert after going lower than it should have. A washing machine or something similar would be a good addition. In apartment 17, floor 9, our window looked like it was about to fall. I had three online tests to take on my laptop while I was there, and the WiFi worked really well on it. It was fine with 5G computers or phones, but didn’t work well with 4G devices or older ones. There are enough plugs in each room, though I’d recommend bringing an extension cord. The outlets are type G, as in every Arab country. Bring toilet sandals, since they don’t provide any. The TV didn’t get enough WiFi to be useful. I don’t recommend paying extra for a sea-view apartment. The view is distant and not very good, and the price is high for no reason. If you wear size 41 or larger, bring your own sandals for walking around the carpeted rooms, which some people may find disgusting. I don’t think they allow pets in the apartments, so be aware. There’s a store nearby for food and other things, but no Mcdonalds or fast food in the area. I recommend using Talabat & Carriage. Families should get two apartments because of the bed sizes.

I liked the calm atmosphere and good price, and the location in bneid algar is excellent. The apartment was clean, well furnished and had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen, and a good-sized sitting room. Special thanks to Miss Jean for being so welcoming and helpful. I’ll stay here on future visits to Kuwait.

The place was clean and well maintained, and the staff were helpful and nice. An excellent stay.
