Calypso Cove

The views made the drive from George Town and other main parts of the island worthwhile. The place was well kept, with enough room and sleeping space, and we saved money by cooking instead of getting takeout. WiFi is free, and owner Sonia was kind and accommodating. It's in West Bay, across the main road from the beach. Hold little ones close when crossing, since cars can be fast and blind spots are a concern.

Sonya, the owner, was friendly and very accommodating, and the apartment was clean and cozy. The shower filled with water quickly, which was the one drawback, but everything else worked fine. Foster's and other grocery stores are close, and the beach is just across the street, less than a five-minute walk. It's a beautiful spot away from busy Seven Mile and Georgetown, with local restaurants within walking distance. We had Alfrescos on our first night and loved it, even with chickens pestering us while we ate. Most island tours offer pickup from your hotel, so plan accordingly. It was a great, low-priced place to stay.

It's affordable and right across from the beach. There was some road noise, but the grocery store is close and a couple of local restaurants are within walking distance. A great place to stay.

Loved staying here. It was a great deal, right across from a very quiet stretch of beach at the far north end of Seven Mile Beach.
