I was just passing through Almaty and picked this hostel based on the price, location and photos. It was a really pleasant surprise. It’s budget-friendly but sits in an upscale part of the city, among attractive modern buildings, on the ground floor of one of them. Since it had opened recently, everything felt fresh and new, from the linens and furniture to the bathroom. I especially liked the modern, practical kitchen. The administrator was exceptionally kind. I work in service myself, so I pay attention to that, and she also helped me get oriented as a tourist and call an affordable taxi to the airport. Getting around was easy, with public transport and taxis available. My taxi ride to the airport took 30 minutes. Thanks again to the staff. I recommend this OK hostel.

All the rooms are double. It’s a comfortable, cozy place, and the hostess, Kymbat, is charming.
