Resident City Hotel

We stayed for five days and had a good time. The rooms are small, but the hotel gives their size accurately, and Almaty was so beautiful that we hardly spent any time indoors. It worked really well for us. Service was outstanding. The rooms weren't just cleaned, they were properly made up, with all supplies and linens replaced every day. I once left my wallet with cash behind when I went out for the whole day, and it was still there when I got back. I know that should be expected, but I've had bad experiences elsewhere. My one complaint is breakfast. There was a good spread, but it was cold every day, and warm food would have been much better. Thanks to the very hospitable staff at resident city hotel.

We booked a spacious suite, and both the location and breakfast were good. Green bazar is a 20-25 minute walk away, and arabat street takes about 10 minutes on foot. Most of the front desk staff were helpful, but AISULU wasn't. She didn't greet us or smile, and when we asked for an adaptor because the sockets were different, she didn't help at all. The wifi was terrible, too. We had to use our own wifi the whole time to play YouTube on the TV.

A nice hotel with good staff. Their manner was professional, and service was smooth and on time. I especially liked how the staff treated clients. Sincere, honest, professional people.

Our stay was pleasant and memorable, especially with that stunning mountain view from our room.
