Royal Plus Hotel

We chose this hotel because it’s close to the bus station, but you might want to reconsider. The staff were quite unfriendly and not helpful at all. We had a power outage that lasted more than three hours. It seemed like everyone at the hotel was used to it, though no other building had the same problem. A very unpleasant stay!

We liked the clean rooms, tasty breakfast, helpful staff, easy airport shuttle, and convenient location. There’s a huge mall with a food court right across the street, and Hotel Royal Plus was a place we’d happily recommend. The downside was cigarette smoke: on our first stay, our second-floor room and the hallway smelled of it, and smoke even came through the A/C vent. The next time we asked for a room on the 3rd or 4th floor, where there were fewer guests, and it was much better. If you have the Russian and English YANDEX app, its taxi service works much like Uber or Lyft.

Everything was fine, though the service could be better.

The Front Office staff either didn’t understand English or weren’t very hospitable.
