Reikartz Astana

The apartment turned out to be smoky, with thin walls where even ordinary conversations from the neighbors carried through. Its location was inconvenient too, and the price was far too high for the area. I called the owner less than two hours after arriving and explained all of this. He got rude and insulting, accused us of making it up, and refused to return the rest of the money. I’d offered to pay the nightly rate and cancellation fee through the app, then have the remainder refunded. We booked this apartment at the address through Booking.com, and the photos in the app looked fine. Before we could book, the owner called to check that we were definitely coming. He kept calling until arrival day, repeating the same questions and demanding a prepayment of 24,000 tenge for some supposed commission he didn’t want to pay Booking.com. There was no mention of prepayment in the terms and conditions. At 8:00 PM on arrival day, I left him 20,000 tenge. I don’t recommend the apartment. The app’s reviews and ratings are inflated, with only two honest reviews.
