The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms have everything guests need. The price is very welcoming too. In the lobby, there are nice panoramic pictures of Borovoe, the forest, and local landscapes, along with wood panels. On the ground floor, the cozy cafeteria serves tasty food and a business lunch for a reasonable 7-8 dollars for the full set on weekdays. The hotel sits on the town’s Central square, opposite Central Park and near the Central Historical museum. The regional and city akimat, municipal offices, local authorities, and post office are on the same square.

Breakfast begins at 7:30, but I had to leave earlier and didn’t get to eat at the hotel. It’s a nice, clean place, and the rooms are convenient, with what you need for a night or two.

The one bright spot was the really good breakfast. Otherwise, it’s a very basic hotel in central Kokshetau. My room got really cold at night, and a sewer and mildew smell came from the bathroom, making my two nights difficult. Cleanliness was questionable too: there was old toothpaste at the bottom of the bathroom toothbrush glass, and the bottoms of the slippers were covered in long black hair that wasn’t mine.

I really enjoyed the Kokshetau hotel. The rooms are nice, breakfast is excellent, and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend it.
