Karibi Complex

After a hard motorcycle ride, I arrived expecting a quiet room. I’d specifically asked the receptionist whether there were exhaust vents or air conditioners below the windows, and she assured me it was quiet. Instead, a kitchen vent in the room below hummed loudly enough to make sleep impossible. When I raised the noise issue, she denied it, then called management in front of me and made it sound as if I were the problem. Dinner was another problem. I ordered ramen, but got a stew made with cheap instant noodles and stale meat. When I asked about it, they waved off my question and talked among themselves in Kazakh without translating. Only after I firmly explained that it wasn’t Japanese ramen did they replace the dish. At 10:00 PM, after I’d ridden 1,100 km that day, they told me to my face that maybe I should find another hotel. And although they’d promised during booking to prepare breakfast early for 6:00 AM, on arrival I was told breakfast started at 7:30 AM. I had to leave hungry without breakfast. There were more problems in the room: the chandelier wouldn’t switch off fully and only worked as a night light, the bathroom kept dripping for a long time after a shower, and just one outlet worked. I strongly advise against this roadside complex with bathhouses and a sauna. The service is poor, they lied to me, ignored my requests, and blamed me instead.
