We had room 209 for 3 nights. It was spacious, with two beds, Aircon, a fan, fridge, and TV, and it was clean with an okay bed. At 14 US, the rate seemed too high to us after Cambodia and Vietnam. There are plenty of Hotels/GH near the river, so there's no need to book ahead. Nobody asked whether we wanted the room cleaned or fresh towels. The young staff, especially the young lady, spoke good English. Public transport is scarce, but the owner's son drove us to the Busstation, 3.5 km away, for 40000kip.

The bed was okay, but the bathroom was quite dirty and the sink was broken. The room was meant to cost 10$, but we paid 220.000 KIP after the owner refused to give us change.

I paid 80 000 kip for a double room with A/C, a normal place for one night. The rooms and bedsheets were clean, though the furniture and towels were old and the water pressure was low. Affordable currency exchange is available on the 1st floor.
