The room was clean and the location was great. The bed and pillows felt quite hard, and the shower pressure was so weak I had to move around to get wet. The AC worked well, though it froze up and leaked when I ran it in the hottest part of the day. Staff were friendly, but sometimes difficult to find.

The owners were lovely and helpful with arranging excursions. The rooms are basic but functional, with good AC and a nice ceiling fan. A great place on Dom Det island.

Rooms cost 300k kip, and a bike for the day is 30k kip. The bike was in middling condition, but it worked and had a basket. Great place.

I’d recommend the north of the island for a stay, and this guesthouse is in a perfect spot. Good food is only a few minutes away, it’s quiet, and you can pay by card or book tickets and trips here. It’s very good value for the price. The staff weren’t very friendly, which was a first for me in Laos. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the bathroom, though that seems to be the norm here. Otherwise, I’d give it 5.

We stayed four nights. The owners are nice, there’s bike rental and you can buy travel tickets here. The port is nearby, though nothing on the island is very far away. The room had good AC and reliable hot water, but sadly no fridge. There’s also a great little restaurant next door, and we ate there every day.
