The internet kept cutting out, which made it hard to work remotely. There may be a main router in the lobby and only repeaters or boosters on the other floors. A few sockets were so loose they wouldn't hold a plug, and the shower setup wasn't ideal: the holder couldn't be adjusted, and in almost every room the shower was above the toilet. On the plus side, the place was very clean, from the rooms to the halls. Housekeeping came daily with fresh towels, bottled water, and a small set of shower toiletries. The wooden furniture was comfortable, the pillows and mattresses were good, and the air conditioning was strong. Reception staff spoke good English. It has a good location in the tourist area. Friendship supermarket is opposite, with several bike rental places and intercity bus ticket services nearby. There are also a few cheap noodle cafes and good restaurants with different cuisines, including Jasmine and Amore. Prices were 300,000 kip for a four-bed room, 280,000 kip for a three-bed room, and 250,000 kip for a standard double. During our nearly two-week holiday, we managed to stay in almost every room type. For the value, it's a very nice guesthouse, really more like a small hotel. We'd happily stay here again on another visit to Pakse.

We just walked in and asked for a room, then paid 220 000k for a private one with two single beds. It was cheap and clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was a private toilet and shower, plus a small balcony overlooking the street. They can also do laundry if you need it. A good spot for a couple of days.

For 250k kip a night, the room was clean and comfortable, with nice wooden furniture and clean bedding. It had a good location, Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, and decent water pressure. The appliances seemed fairly new, including the AC, shower heater, fridge, and TV. There were some maintenance issues: the Wi-Fi didn't work about half the time, the bathroom sink faucet was very loose, and the shower head wouldn't fit its holder. The fridge cable had to run in front because there was no hole in the back of the wooden cabinet it sat in. Quite a few patches of paint or stucco were missing from the walls and ceiling.

The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the furniture was good quality. The bathroom wasn't too messy either. It's cheap and basic, so I can't complain much, though climbing four flights with no lift was inconvenient. I didn't spend long in Pakse, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby serving Western food.

There were a lot of mosquitos in the room, and the price was a little higher than I expected. The staff were okay, though I thought they could have been friendlier. When we arrived after a tiring seven-hour bus ride, they said I had no booking until I showed proof that I'd booked and paid already. That was frustrating when all we wanted was to get to our room. The room itself was spacious, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning that worked well. We appreciated having a fridge and water, and were surprised the TV actually worked. I'd recommend it for a short stay in Pakse.
