The room was roomy and clean, with a comfortable bed, and fresh towels came every day. There were water refill points on each floor. Breakfast had a nice variety, and the location was good. We arranged a waterfall minivan and a ride to the train station through the friendly day-shift man, and both went smoothly. The fourth floor had no Wi-Fi for all five days we stayed. When I mentioned it to the night-shift man, he brushed me off, saying the Wi-Fi was there and just sometimes didn't work. I also took a point off because the front desk advertises elephant riding. It's 2026, and we know that's unethical.

The staff were so friendly and ready to help with anything, from renting a motorbike to arranging airport or train station pickup and suggesting things to do. They even said my face "looks like Mr Beast" 🤣. Breakfast was yummy, and it's a handy location, less than a ten-minute walk from the night market. The Wi-Fi was a bit crappy. Still, Luang Prabang seems like a good place to unplug and enjoy a break from tech.

The tour was the worst part. We booked and paid in full the day before, but a mix-up meant the guide never showed. After an hour's wait, the hotel called an ordinary taxi driver instead. We'd paid for a full package with a guide, lunch, and entry fees, but got only the ride and had to cover tickets and lunch ourselves. It cost us three times what a regular taxi would have. Avoid the tour desk. The hotel itself was okay. The location was average, the coffee was quite good, breakfast choices were very limited and repetitive, and the pool was far too cold to use.

The staff were the best part of our stay. We had visa trouble and needed to come back after checking out early for our flight to Vietnam. They kindly let us back into our original room, even though it had already been cleaned. The property was very clean, and our room was especially spacious and comfortable. It's easy to walk to restaurants, cafés, tourist spots, and the night market, with several ATMs nearby. A real local gem, and their hospitality makes it easy to recommend.

The big drawback was the construction next door. It's a massive job, so be ready for noise, though the hotel provides earplugs. The hotel itself is very nice and centrally located. The pool is small but clean and adequate, breakfast is a good buffet with really nice made-to-order lattes, and the staff are kind and friendly.
