We could walk to the evening market and lots of other sites. Our group of 13 was on an Intrepid Travel tour, which had arranged the hotel. On arrival we were given a refreshing drink, and our room was clean, with comfortable beds and fast service. It was mostly quiet, though some kind of machine, maybe an AC unit from the next building, often ran outside room #210. The receptionists sometimes didn’t know English, but they quickly called the manager, so we got help and translation without much delay. Breakfast was included. It was simple, with several hot dishes plus bread and cereal, coffee, tea and juice.

The staff were very friendly at this nice hotel. Breakfast was basic, and laundry was about 40,000 kip per kg.

The staff went out of their way to help us whenever we needed something, and the included breakfast each morning was enjoyable. We liked the good-sized showers, well-kept rooms, TV and strong air-conditioning. The Legend Hotel is just a few minutes on foot from the local and night markets. This may be the best hotel we’ve stayed at since arriving in Laos a few weeks ago. A great experience!

The room was huge, the aircon worked fine, and it was good value for money. The staff were very friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was the best we’d had in five weeks travelling around SEA. Sure, it could be cleaner, but this isn’t Europe, and the prices aren’t European either, so I don’t really understand some people’s fuss. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.
