I won’t stay here again. My sister and I lost part of our trip because of this hotel. They had booked two parties into one room, and only told us about the mistake at 7 pm while we were relaxing there. They sent us to a guesthouse instead, in poor condition and with nothing nearby. A worker assured us we’d get that night refunded, that they’d take my sister there by van, and that they’d send a van at 8 the next morning. None of that happened as promised. First, he tried to take my sister and our huge plastic carrier on a bike over an unpaved road. After we complained, they switched to a tuk-tuk, still not a van. In the morning they were 40 minutes late and didn’t answer our calls, leaving us waiting in a strange place that wasn’t even on Google Maps. They then refused the refund, saying they had paid for that cheaper guesthouse, even though we didn’t want to stay there. I was furious and asked another resident who spoke Lao to help. She was angry too because they had messed up her room. After she spoke to them, their position changed. It felt like they thought they could push me around. I got back only part of the cost, not all of it. And one last thing: they cancelled the ride to the city that I’d booked because I hadn’t slept at their hotel, even though they were the ones who sent us away because of their mistake. They don’t seem to understand service.
