Relaxful Hotel

We loved waking up to the Mekong view, and for us it was worth staying outside the old town. Hotels there don’t offer the same river view, so it’s a trade-off. The hotel itself is really nice, the staff are kind and helpful, and there’s a large 15M pool that works for swimming laps or relaxing. Make sure to choose the river view suite. A free shuttle goes to the night market and other spots, and they even took my partner at 5:30 am to give food to the monks.

The staff knew the local area well and were extremely helpful, and the free rides to the center of Luang Prabang and the airport made getting around easy. My room was roomy, spotless, and well equipped. The Mekong views were stunning, and the modern hotel felt like good value. Breakfast was decent, with eggs made to order. I’d happily recommend staying here.

Getting around was easy: the hotel is about five minutes by car from the night market, and they run free shuttles there and to the early morning alms. Airport and railway transfers are free too. There’s breakfast each morning, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The price was super reasonable, even for a stingy bugger like me, and I was still happy to leave a tip. My room was lovely and clean, with a nice view, and the staff were very polite. They offer free rides downtown and will pick you up wherever you are. If you stay at least two nights, there’s also a complimentary trip to the train station. One of my best stays this year.
