Sakura Wood House

We found the place while walking around, got a good price, and liked the friendly staff enough to extend our stay twice. The towels are a work of art. I figured out how they folded one into a swan and tried it myself, though mine came out much less well. Breakfast was decent, and the rice soup was my favourite. It's sourced locally from just across the road, and it was so good.

The service was incredibly nice and relaxed, and the place is close to just about everything in Luang Prabang. There are some amazing cafés nearby, along with a local restaurant, the morning and night markets, and a really good hair salon.

For the price, this was a good place to stay. The room was a good size, with a separate toilet and shower, and lovely hot water. Staff were nice, check-in was easy, and someone was always at the front desk. They changed the bedsheet when cleaning the room, which was a nice touch. Breakfast came with eggs, bread, and coffee. The night market and supermarkets were within walking distance. The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked, but the room never got as cold as we like. Wi-Fi was spotty at times, and the bed was two beds pushed together, so it wasn't very comfortable.

The staff were lovely, the bed was comfy, and breakfast was great. I liked having the toilet separate from the shower. The TV was a bit naff.
