2/10
The location is excellent, but that’s the one good thing. I paid 200,000 kip/$11.00 per night. The guesthouse needs upkeep and repairs, the Wi-Fi was extremely weak, and staff didn’t speak English or other foreign languages. The sheets, pillowcases, and cover were never changed, the room was never cleaned, and the garbage wasn’t collected. A popular restaurant next door played loud music until about 21:30/9:30 PM. Paying each day was cumbersome because management wasn’t around to collect it. I had to hand money to whoever would take it, and got no receipts. There are better places to stay in Luang Prabang.

There’s no reception, and it was hard to get hold of the owner. The rooms look clean at first, but up close there’s a lot of dust. You can find better places for the same price.

The room was old and small, but the location was great. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was really nice.
