Villa Kee Lee Hotel

The breakfast was lovely, and everyone on staff was super friendly. We only stayed one night, but the bed was so comfortable that I'd happily come back. It's a beautiful, clean place right in the centre of Luang Prabang.

The breakfast was the one bright spot. In the evening, staff and a few men from outside were drinking right beside our bedroom wall, making a lot of noise. The room itself was small, dirty, and disappointing, with no view, even though I'd booked a deluxe river-view room with a king bed through Agoda. The hotel had overbooked, and the receptionist's response was, "I already booked cheap." What I paid wasn't cheap, and the room and attitude felt cheap too. The service and honesty need to improve, so I wouldn't recommend staying here as things stand. After I made the same complaint to agoda, they agreed to refund 50% of the amount.

The owner was kind and friendly, and I could walk everywhere easily. The alms giving procession is only a few minutes away. I stayed four nights and felt comfortable and relaxed. My room was spacious, had good a/c, and came with a nice bathroom with both a bath and shower. I liked having coffee on the balcony, and breakfast kept me going until an early dinner. Highly recommended!

We had to leave Villa Kee Lee Hotel right after checking in for our nine-night booking in October 2025 because of serious hygiene concerns. There were visible hairs and what looked like blood droplets on the floor and around the sink, so we couldn't stay there for health and safety reasons. I contacted the hotel several times by message and email, but got no reply, resolution, or refund. The phone number on the booking page also seems outdated, which made it harder to reach them. Agoda raised the issue with the hotel, and they responded to Agoda, but still refused a refund and did not contact me directly. We have exhausted the ways we could try to resolve this directly and still haven't received our money back. I hope management improves its cleanliness standards, updates its contact details, and deals more responsibly with guest concerns.
