Treasure Hotel Laos

The mattress was the best part for me. It was extremely comfortable and helped my back relax after long, adventurous days. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and a small balcony with a table and chairs, just as shown on the booking platform. There were basic toiletries, including toothpaste, toothbrushes, a mini comb, shower cap, cotton buds, and soap, plus two umbrellas. The hair dryer was powerful. There was also a small TV, with mostly Thai channels, which was fine for us. The ceiling fan and air conditioner both worked well, and hot water came through after about five minutes. Noise is the main reason I wouldn’t stay here again. If you’re sensitive to it or want peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. They didn’t seem to pay attention to guest notes. I’d requested a quiet room away from the stairs after reading reviews, but we got one right beside the staircase. That alone wasn’t a big deal. The real trouble started on day three of our four night stay, after the first two days, which were on the weekend. On weekdays the school next door is extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to rest during the day. It quiets down after school hours in the evening. If you get a room from 501 to 512, be prepared. There’s no soundproofing at all, so you hear everything outside the room. Group bookings can mean constant noise from other guests and housekeeping. The staff and management also changed my rating from three stars to two. At checkout, no one said goodbye, smiled, or offered to help with luggage. The atmosphere felt cold and indifferent, unlike anything I’d experienced on previous travels. It was a disappointing stay, and the place felt focused on one time guests instead of building returning customers. Memorable, but not in a good way. I’ll choose more carefully next time.
