We were charged more than the rate we'd agreed to on Agoda. It was midnight and other places were full, so we couldn't really argue. We only knew that because Vilaysing isn't marked correctly on the map, and we found it by chance. They also said the hotel was full, though it wasn't, and gave us a room meant for five people even though we're a couple. Naturally, that room cost more. The staff were unfriendly, and the beds were the worst we've had in three months in Asia. The mattresses were rock hard, and the bed frame looked homemade. The showers were only lukewarm. The room was clean, which was one of the only positives.

BED BUGS!! The room looked big and decent at first, but when we checked carefully, we found bed bugs in two rooms. I showed them to the owners on the bed and in a video I took. We hadn't used the room, so we asked for a refund, but the owner just shook his head to say no. The Vietnamese owners don't speak English, which made communication very difficult. NEVER GO THERE!!

The only reason I gave two stars is that they were friendly enough to let me stay a second night, sell me beer and water, and let me park my bicycle in the lobby. At $20 a night, it was overpriced. A closure order meant nothing else was available. I booked online, otherwise they wouldn't have let me stay, and they even tried to tell me I had the wrong hotel. I had to remain for two nights to take care of local business. The room was crawling with bed bugs. Even sleeping in my clothes, I ended up with bites all over my arms and legs.

We went out in the morning to check for a bus. When we got back, they wanted us to pay again for a night we'd already paid for. Terrible service and a very bad hotel.
