A quiet, convenient little hotel and generally a good place to stay. Some rooms do smell of cigarette smoke, though. They should enforce the no-smoking rules for everyone, including guests from Vietnam and China.

The room was fairly soundproof and the Wi-Fi worked fine. Breakfast was included, which was nice, though it was very basic and the coffee was terrible. For the price I’d give it four stars, but I stayed somewhere cheaper the next night with better rooms. Check-in took 20 minutes even though I had a reservation, possibly the slowest I’ve experienced. They only take cash, with no option to transfer from a local bank account.

The bed was great, the AC powerful, and the Wi-Fi worked really well. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Thai embassy, and I felt safe and comfortable during my one-night visa-run stay. I booked ahead, but my phone broke and their system didn’t show my name. The receptionist kindly gave me one of the empty rooms anyway. The room was clean and comfortable. I doubt I’ll be in Savannaket again, but if I am, I’d definitely stay here.

For the rooms and service, I’d give it 3/5. The rooms are huge, and they let you check in early. The location gets 2/5: being a 15-minute walk from the Thai Embassy is useful for a visa run, but it’s far from the city center and other tourist attractions. Walking around the neighborhood at night didn’t feel safe to me, especially as a solo female traveler.
