The pool is good, but the hotel feels old and poorly maintained, and housekeeping doesn't seem professional. At 660 baht, I don't think it's worth it. Places nearby charge around 250 for this kind of quality.

The owner was really nice about my early arrival. I got there before 5am, and he had the front desk check me in ahead of schedule without charging extra. My room was spacious, with a large bathroom and a traditional Lao feel. The equipment wasn't new, but everything was clean.

There was plenty of parking, and the free Wi-Fi was fast. It's also not far from central Savannakhet. I thought the room and toilet were large and nicer than at the two other guesthouses I checked at a similar price. The basic rate was 130,000 kip a night, with VIP1 at 156,000 and VIP2 at 250,000.

I've stayed here three times for visa runs. It's simple, but pleasant and relaxing. A little far from the station, though manageable.
