Vongmany Guesthouse

We paid 250k kip per night. The place was quiet, conveniently located, and close to everything. Our large room was clean, though there was a little dust around. Hot water was unpredictable, but the staff responded right away when we needed help. The bed was comfortable, with extra blankets available for the really cold January nights. There’s no glass in the windows, and the chairs and table make a great spot to enjoy the view.

The hosts were friendly, and the guesthouse is in a convenient spot. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom is on the old side, but everything else was alright. At 300k Kip it felt a little overpriced, probably because it was high season, though it was still super cheap.

The owners were kind, and our twin room had what we needed. It’s well placed for nearby places to eat and the starts of the viewpoints. Hot water was the main drawback. Even with the heater on, it was rare to get any. They also offer a traditional herbal steam bath in the evening for an extra fee, and I’d definitely recommend trying it.

The relaxed atmosphere and amazing second-floor view made it hard to leave after more than a week. The owners were sweet and welcoming when we got back from Muang Ngoy, and they were accommodating and responsive to our requests throughout the stay. Our laundry was returned clean and folded.
