There isn’t much English spoken, but everyone was friendly. The location is excellent, and the place is clean. Breakfast is basic but filling, with really good fresh bread, and there’s plenty of hot water for showers. My favorite spot was the little courtyard full of greenery, such a nice place to relax. The roosters were annoying, so I took another reviewer’s advice and wore earplugs. At least it wasn’t loud bar music.

The room was standard and fairly noisy, with people partying in the street and very loud roosters early in the morning. That was the only downside, so bring earplugs. The yard is a great place to hang out, and the staff were very helpful with booking tours and transport. Breakfast was lovely, especially the big plate of fresh mango and watermelon. It’s a very affordable place, close to the famous cafe for watching sunset and a nice spot to eat nearby.

We stayed for over a week and hated the thought of leaving. Coming back after a hot day outside was especially lovely. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and amazing cappuccino, and the peaceful green courtyard with hammocks made Champa Lao feel much classier than the rest of Vang Vieng. Sid, the owner, was always kind and ready to help, and Chao at the desk was wonderful, welcoming us with a smile and helping with anything. Thanks for the hospitality, we loved Champa Lao!

Champa Lao was such a relaxing place amid the busy, wild atmosphere of Vang Vieng. We felt welcome, liked the room, and found the bed comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff were very kind. Water, tea, and coffee were free too. Thanks for a lovely stay, I’d highly recommend it!

We all enjoyed our stay here, including our two teenagers. The setting is beautiful, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s a decent location away from the noisy pubs and bars. The only small issue was that the beds were pretty hard.
