VangVieng Boutique Hotel

We booked a mountain view room, and at sunrise the view was amazing: we could see hot air balloons and paramotor flyers. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hospitality and service were good. They also provided rides to and from the city center from morning until evening. It was a great stay and experience.

The rooftop terrace has spectacular scenery, with the mountains lined up in front of you. It's a modern, clean hotel with spacious rooms, good service, a good breakfast buffet, and a great dinner menu. The decor felt a bit soulless, though, especially since Laos has so much local handicraft that could be used.

The terrace view is beautiful, and the hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. Our spacious room looked over fields and mountains, and was very quiet, with almost no street noise and only a little from nearby rooms and the hallway. Staff were lovely and attentive. Breakfast offered a big mix of Western and Asian food, and the restaurant and bar had a nice menu. The gym was well equipped. We had an excellent stay.

The view was the highlight, especially watching water buffaloes lazily bathing in the mud. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, and the rooftop terrace had a cozy bar and comfortable places to sit in the evening. My room had a good bed and was comfortable, but simple for the price, with fewer amenities than I expected. Breakfast had impressive variety and tasted good, though it was heavy and greasy. WiFi was frustrating: it barely worked in the room and was only somewhat reliable in the lobby and restaurant. A nice hotel with beautiful views and excellent service, but the connection and value for money could be better.
