Molina Bungalows

Molina's bungalows are right in the city centre, just off the main road, with wooden bungalows and private terraces. I loved the outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs. The posted photos clearly include some from a different place, but these are budget, basic bungalows with the essentials covered: a clean room, piping hot shower, plenty of charging outlets and excellent WiFi. Travel agents, convenience stores and bike rentals are right across the street, and the staff are friendly.

The owner is fabulous and the location is perfect. We paid 300,000 Kip a night and got a room without any hassle when we arrived. The room is basic but good, with A/C and a fan, plus a deck for sitting outside or hanging laundry. It has a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. There is a lot of noise and wildlife around outside, which can make it hard to sleep.

The owner is super friendly and happy to help with whatever you need. You can buy drinks there, and there are cheap restaurants next door, with the night market only a short walk away. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. They come with a fan, and you pay extra for AC. We added it after arriving because the rooms can get quite hot during the day.

I stayed four nights. There are only eight bungalows in a row, so it's not really a social place. The bed was good and big, the shower was nice and hot, and you can use a fan or aircon. The only issue was the roosters next door, but earplugs did the job.
