Anna was always smiling and ready to help with whatever I needed. She clearly loves her work and wants guests to enjoy their stay. I’m really grateful for all her effort, and glad I chose this place. The rooms are simple but did what I needed. They were clean, and some basics were included: towels, a kettle, soap, and small bottles of water. I liked relaxing in the lounge by the pool, and the location was great. There was some noise from a nearby establishment and animals, but I didn’t find it excessive. I highly recommend staying here when you visit.

The bar behind the building plays its music really loudly if you’re on the top floor. If there are other rooms open, Anna will help move your things, and it’s a lot better downstairs if you don’t plan to stay up all night. The main reason we stayed as long as we did was Anna and her crew. They were always around with recommendations and happy to help with complaints. Anna speaks great English, knows the area, and gives helpful advice without being pushy. I really like the place. It has some downsides, but for the price, the hostel beats some full-price hotels nearby. Thanks, Anna, you made our stay great.

The rooms were clean and really nice, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, so I’m disappointed to leave a low rating. There’s a nearby bar with loud parties every night, and the rooms aren’t soundproof. Roosters can be heard early in the morning too. The facilities and staff were lovely, but the service overall let us down. We paid 220,000 for train tickets that cost 117,000. The pickup was nearly 30 minutes late, so we almost missed the train. The receptionist was very sweet, but oversold activities with promises such as an on-time pickup and two hours of kayaking at sunset. In reality, we kayaked for less than an hour and there was no sunset in sight. We also weren’t told about the strict, airport-style security at the station. You can’t bring anything sharp, even scissors, or everyday things like hairspray. We would have preferred to take the bus. If we take the train again, we’ll buy our tickets ourselves through the LCR app. I’d look elsewhere for activities, since you’ll likely get a much better experience for a more reasonable price. And the Wi-Fi wasn’t working at all!

Anna went way beyond what she had to do for us. She greeted guests with a big smile and wave, carried everyone’s bags to the vans, brought back little snacks from the market, and gave us 101 recommendations. When I had a bad cold, she left honey and lemon tea outside my door without me asking. She also made sure we felt safe and comfortable after a miserable 18-hour travel day and a late-night check-in. I nearly cried, and she gave me a huge hug and reassured me I was safe. We’re so grateful for everything, Anna. All our love, your Scottish and English gals 🤍🤍 The rooms are basic, but have what you need: free water, coffee, hot showers, and comfy beds. The place also has the best price for paramotoring you’ll find in Vang Vieng. I’ve seen complaints about music from the bar next door. The hostel can’t do much about it, but you can easily ask to change rooms or buy earplugs, and the staff are happy to help. Please don’t let those reviews stop you staying here. The team works so hard, and this was some of the warmest service we’ve had in all of Southeast Asia.

The hotel was just what we wanted for the price, so don’t expect the Ritz. There’s a nearby bar that plays loud music until around midnight, unfortunately, but that’s not the hotel’s fault and probably hard to avoid anywhere in the center. Anna is what made it feel like a five-star stay. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and so helpful. She knows the area inside out and had great suggestions for activities, restaurants, and pretty much anything you might need.
