We booked two nights and ended up staying six more. It’s great value: the room was clean and comfortable, though plain, with no outside window, just one onto the indoor communal area. The shower was hot, the staff were lovely, and the owner spoke great English. The two housekeepers kept sweeping and mopping, so the place stayed very clean. The pool was great and shared with a couple of nearby hotels, but it never felt too busy. Breakfast was the best we had in Vang Vieng: you choose one menu item, like an omelette or French toast, then help yourself to chopped fruit, salad, bread, tea, coffee, and fresh mango shakes. Free drinking water was available all the time. There isn’t much of a view from the hotel because restaurants are in front, but a short walk gets you to clear mountain views. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

The owner was really helpful whenever we had questions or wanted something booked, and the location was convenient. Breakfast was great, with coffee, pancakes, eggs, and fruit, and the showers had hot water. Our room was clean, though the sheets and towels could use replacing. We had a nice stay.

The only small annoyance was the air conditioning, which sometimes dripped a little water. It didn’t affect our stay, though. The pool area was nice and had a cool mountain view, and the staff who cooked and cleaned were so kind. Breakfast was all you could eat, and they made sure we left with full bellies. Tommy, the manager, was hands down the nicest guy in Laos and helped with everything: scooter rental, tours, and dinner advice. The place is close to good restaurants and bars, but far enough away to stay quiet at night. Perfect spot in Vang Vieng.

We loved the location, and the hosts were so accommodating when helping us plan our time in Vang Vieng. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was great, especially the ripe fruit.

They advertise pets allowed on Booking.com, but only refused my reservation after I arrived. I sent a request when I booked and got no reply, so I was left looking for pet-friendly accommodation in a foreign town in the late afternoon. The booking was non-refundable with no cancellations, and they wouldn’t return my money, leaving me to sort everything out myself. This was a disgraceful way to handle it. The bad reviews are justified. It’s an alcohol-fueled backpacker hotel operating under multiple names, which seems sneaky and makes it hard to trust.
