Ali Xayathit Apartment & Hotel

I wouldn't stay here for more than three days, and I don't recommend it for a long visit. When I arrived, someone was already in my room. They asked him to leave, but didn't change the sheets. The bed is hard as a rock, towels aren't provided, and housekeeping does a poor job. They don't replace sheets or pillowcases, and just use some powder that doesn't clean anything. Under the bed was disgusting and clearly wasn't cleaned. There were ants, and the outlets wouldn't hold plugs properly. The noise was constant. Everything vibrated, including the fans in the room and living room, the outside AC fan, and fans upstairs and next door, with a loud hum. Dogs barked all night, housekeeping shouted and talked loudly at 8 a.m., and there were children playing, which I didn't mind. The AC stopped working twice, once for three days, and WiFi dropped out three or four times a day. At night the gate is locked, so you can't come in late or go out in the middle of the night. The washing machine on my floor broke, so I had to use the one on the third floor, and there's no elevator.

A nice place to stay, and the apartment was perfect. They included cleaning service twice a week. I'd recommend it.

In Laos, you get good value for the price when it comes to accommodation.
