Le Luxe Boutique Hotel

The location was good, but the hotel itself felt quite basic. Service wasn't great, and the reception area was messy. The in-room safe didn't work, and reception couldn't offer a solution. Breakfast wasn't great either.

The upstairs noise was a problem for us. We could hear every movement from the neighbors above, perhaps because the floors are thin, so light sleepers may struggle. There was no housekeeping during our two-night stay, which surprised us. That may be standard in Vientiane, but anyone who likes a tidy room each day will need to manage it themselves. The location was excellent for exploring the city, and the price felt fair. The two-story building is adorable, with a cute, almost antique feel. Room size and cleanliness were decent. Breakfast came with the stay, though the selection was limited. Most staff were friendly and helpful and fairly easy to communicate with, though not everyone spoke fluent English. For a comfortable, no-frills stay, it was good value for the price.

The included breakfast was basic but quite good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room's window looked into the inner side of the building. The rooms are large, clean, and nicely furnished. This stay brings an old house into a recent complex, which makes for a very nice place. The downside is that, because of how old houses were built, the rooms aren't soundproof.

Wi-Fi worked well in the room, but pretty much disappeared once you left it, until you reached the lobby. The twin room was a bit small, though the bathroom was spacious. Service was very friendly and accommodating, and the quiet street is convenient for walking to the Mekong River, night market, restaurants, and massage spas. There is no parking. Breakfast was okay, but I'd stick to the Western items like eggs, hot dogs, and toast. For the price, a night or two would be fine, though I wouldn't recommend a longer stay. This was my first hotel in Vientiane, where I spent two nights. I'd rate it 3.5/5.
