The location is good, and the aircon and facilities are fine, but there’s a lot of street noise. The mattresses are quite hard, so as a side sleeper I’d expect to wake up with sore shoulders. The room was relatively clean, though I didn’t expect much from a guesthouse like this. The price is another issue: Google showed around 300-350k LAK, but I was charged 450k LAK.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and for 120,000 Kip it’s a fair deal for a private double room with a fan and air-con, plus a shared bathroom. The furniture is old and worn, but acceptable for one night before travelling the next day.

We stayed four nights and liked the place. It was cute, clean, and quiet enough. The water was hot, there was enough soap, and the bed and pillows were more comfortable than in most budget guesthouses.
