Vientiane Boutique Hotel

We only stayed one night on the ground floor. The room was quiet, the air conditioning cooled well, hot water and water pressure were good, the towel had no smell, the key-card lock worked, and the Wi-Fi was fine. The location was okay, though you have to walk out through an alleyway. There’s a large car park and a swimming pool. At the counter, they offered an exchange rate of 650 when the bank rate was 665.

I spent one day at Vientiane Boutique hotel for the first time last month. The bed was good, the location was perfect, and the staff were kind and friendly. It was a good stay.

The pool was shallow, but nice for cooling off, and breakfast had at least some fresh fruit and eggs, even if it was basic. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was good: within walking distance of the Arch, though the night market and other spots take more walking. Everything was pretty basic and good enough for the price. We’ve found better value at other places in SE Asia. There’s a great crepe stall across the street to the left for a late-night snack.

There was plenty of hot water, and the mini fridge seemed to keep working even when the room key was out of the master power switch. The pool looked nice, though it’s very shallow. Our ground-floor room was extremely dark, even with the lights on and curtains open. It seemed mostly clean, but I wouldn’t inspect the bathroom too closely. The linens were clean, breakfast was okay, and the location is great.
