We had a room with aircon but no view, for 600B a night, and breakfast was included with six choices. Laundry cost about 120B per kilo, and the burger was around 120B at lunchtime. I liked the cucumber salad best, with an omelette and sweet dressing on top. It sounds odd, but it worked. The giant burger was good too. The building is old, but the rooms are clean and inexpensive, and the AC was strong. It's right in the city center, easy to get to, and tuk-tuk drivers know it. Staff understand English, and plenty of European and Australian travelers stay here, including Westerners making visa runs from Thailand. I'd stay here again.

The route to our fourth-floor room felt like a labyrinth. Inside, the bed sheet was torn, the headboard was dusty, and the squeaky doors added to the spooky feeling of the dark, old wood. We were there only because the first two hotels our tuk-tuk driver took us to were full. Thankfully we made it through the night without nightmares, with a little help from answered prayers.

30Aug2018 My girlfriend asked the receptionist for help with the plug at 11:25 PM. He came over and tried to get fresh with her. She managed to get away from him, fortunately. The owner should screen receptionists better. If you're a woman traveling alone, think carefully before staying here.

For 170.000 Kip, the room had what you need, including a fan, aircon and hot water. It was a little run down.

The main street gets a little noisy in the evenings, but the location is nice. Staff were helpful, and the place was clean. The bus station and morning market are a 5-10 minute walk away.
