1866 Court & Suites

The modern, welcoming feel made my time in Beirut more enjoyable, and Ali and Mahmoud were especially kind and provided excellent service. My room was impressively spacious and comfortable, and the balcony was a lovely bonus. The view made both mornings and evenings feel special. I had a wonderful stay at 1866 Court & Suites Hotel.

The view over the sea and mountains is stunning, honestly one of the most breathtaking I’ve seen. Waking up to that scenery felt unreal, with nature, comfort, and beauty all together. A truly unforgettable experience.

My family will definitely choose this hotel whenever we visit Beirut. The staff, from the front desk receptionists Ms. Nadia and the other gentlemen to manager Mr. Raydan and the service staff, made our stay at 1866 very comfortable. They were professional and remarkably hospitable. The location is excellent too, within walking distance of almost every worthwhile sight, restaurant, and Beirut landmark.

I’m here in Beirut for an operation, and instead of being able to come back to the room and rest, I now need to find somewhere else. I can’t wait to leave. I arrived late last night after a long flight expecting a 5 star hotel, but this feels like 2 stars at most. The room smells damp, the carpet is dirty, plaster is coming off the walls, and the tables are stained. There were no toiletries, just one all-in-one gel for shampoo and showering. They moved me to another room, but the standard was the same, with only a slightly less awful smell. I’ve travelled all over the world and never seen a “5 star” like this. It’s old and nasty. When I asked for an upgrade, the front desk refused despite low season and very low occupancy. That’s terrible customer service, and calling this 5 star is misleading, 2 stars at most, and that’s generous. This morning, in better light, I saw mould on the walls. That’s not healthy for guests. I plan to leave immediately.
